But don’t get too attached because every now and then Battlestate Games wipes everyone’s progress with the Escape From Tarkov wipe, giving you – and your character – a new lease of life.
However, an Escape From Tarkov wipe is usually shrouded in secrecy, with Battlestate Games leaving most of its player base in the dark about when said wipe will actually happen. We know wipes come with major updates that happen every six months or so, but other than that, we know very little about the process for one of the best competitive FPS games. When is the Escape From Tarkov wipe?
The next Escape From Tarkov wipe will be before Saturday, August 19, 2023, with the wipe being confirmed by BattleState via a preliminary roadmap and confirmed to start before the next tournament. There will also be another wipe later this year in December, with that being the last wipe of 2023.
This is a little later than we have come to expect from BattleState, with wipes typically coming every six months. The last wipe was in December 2022, so it’s two months later than we anticipated, meaning the time between this upcoming wipe and the next one will be a lot shorter.
However, there are plenty of things to enjoy with the upcoming wipe. When the wipe arrives, BattleState is releasing the “Summer Update”, which will bring new QoL features, such as selecting body parts to heal, new weapons, the Streets of Tarkov expansion, and more.
